It's bargains galore at the moment in the world of beauty, particularly in salon treatments. There are some really great offers to be had.

For example The Buff Day Spa (right) is offering 30pc off Dermalogica facials for the month of November. You'll be getting a Speciality Facial (usually €109) for €77, the price of a Spa Custom Facial. Choose from Ultimate Facial, Anti-Ageing Facial, Skin Brightening Facial or Acne Facial.

If you're not sure which one would suit you best, have a chat with the staff.

One of the new arrivals at the recently revamped Beauty Hall in Arnotts is Swedish cosmetics company Make-Up Store.

A dizzying collection of beautiful professional-quality products (check out their lipgloss, right), the brand started out in Stockholm in 1996 and now has more than 200 boutiques in more than 25 countries.

Products are high in pigment (which means staying power and gorgeous, true colours) and the Dublin counter is manned by skilled staff.

Best of all, it's a really affordable range. Check out the beautiful Baby Doll collection for winter www.makeupstore.se

The staff of Dublin hair salon Zoo are celebrating a momentous win; hairdresser Andrew Dunne took home gold in the Colour category at the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award International Final in Berlin. It's no small achievement either. A total of 84 finalists from 60 countries competed at the awards and were judged by a panel of industry experts that included the beauty editor of Vogue Germany and Wella Professionals global creative directors.

To avail of Andrew's colour expertise (we imagine he'll be in big demand after the win!), contact Zoo Hair Salon, 01 672 5179 or visit Zoo Hair Salon, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2.
