The Rude Boy singer won't be the first pop star to make a foray into the fashion world. Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham (38) has been a hit with the fashion pack and Justin Timberlake's William Rast line has achieved mainstream success, particularly in the US.
Rihanna said she decided to collaborate with River Island because they "like to have fun with clothes". It was designed by the star and her costume designer Adam Selmant -- so expect lots of bum grazing shorts, chain mail tops and boiler suits and balconette bras.
"I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege," Rihanna beamed.
