The 'Amy effect' is causing a style stir once again.

Actress Amy Huberman's power to inspire the fashion masses has hit new heights as the silver pendant she wore when announcing her second pregnancy has completely sold out.

Last week, the IFTA winner appeared at the launch of comedian David O'Doherty's new book Danger is Everywhere at Easons, in St Stephen's Green, displaying her growing baby bump, and wearing a silver necklace by Newbridge Silverware and eye-catching coat by Cos.

A spokesperson for the brand told the Herald that they instantly sold out of the piece after the style star was spotted wearing it.

"The 'Amy effect' has struck once again and we are completely sold out of the item," a spokesperson said.

"Amy looked fabulous with her beautiful baby bump accessorised by our multi-wear neckpiece from the Newbridge eShe range.

"It's a very comfortable item to wear and looks equally good when worn as a bracelet. We are due to have it back in stock in a couple of weeks and with Amy's stamp of approval and at just €20, it is sure to fly off shelves once again."

Setting trends is nothing new to Brian O' Driscoll's glamorous wife - the magenta Lennon Courtney top she wore at the London premiere of The Stag also sold out within days, and her bright yellow Topshop top also flew off the shelves after she was pictured wearing it.

"What she wears sells out," designer Sonya Lennon said.
