Ryan returns to his roots with Halloween readings for kids

Spine-tingling: Ryan Tubridy reading Roald Dahl's The Witches to Alex and Ana Brennock
Monday October 26 2009
RYAN Tubridy is to return to his broadcasting roots by reading excerpts from his favourite children's author, Roald Dahl, on radio.
As Halloween approaches, the Late Late Show host will entertain youngsters with some funny and spooky stories from the much-loved author.
Dahl fans can tune into RTE Junior each evening next week, starting today, to listen to Ryan reading from The Witches, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Minpins.
RTE said: "Kids who tune in are in for plenty of spine-tingling tales and might even learn from Ryan how to spot a witch lest one be lurking about. This is something of a return to Ryan's broadcasting roots as he began his broadcasting career at the age of 12, reviewing books for the Radio 2 show Poporama presented by Ruth Buchanan."
