THE mother of the world's longest-surviving octuplets has reportedly signed a deal to star in a reality television series.

Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to the six boys and two girls in January and also has six other children, has agreed to be filmed for a proposed TV show by Eyeworks, a Netherlands-based production company, according to her attorney Jeff Czech.

The show has not yet been sold to any US TV network, the lawyer said.

It will be based on a successful Eyeworks' TV series in Denmark that has documented the lives of four children from the day they were born.

Mr Czech said: "They came up with this idea, presented it to her and she liked it.

"She'll get to use a camera and do some of the filming herself."

Describing the programme as a "quasi-reality" show, he said crews would not follow Suleman and her children 24 hours a day, but would document certain milestones, such as birthdays and special events.

Mr Czech said: "Nadia doesn't want the constant filming because she feels that would be taking advantage of her kids.

"She's trying to find the middle ground and feels this approach will work best."

Ms Suleman, of southern California, has reportedly teamed up with ghostwriter Wendy Leigh -- who was behind Life With My Sister Madonna with Christopher Ciccone -- to write her autobiography.
