Miriam O'Callaghan: I'll wear my '90s choker again
Miriam O'Callaghan has vowed to wear another choker after causing something of a fashion sensation.
The RTE star impressed viewers with her black choker on Tuesday night's Prime Time.
Ms O'Callaghan told the Herald she loves that 90s trends are coming back into style again.
"The reaction has been hilarious. I love chokers and always did so I am delighted they are all back in fashion," she said. "I got a hugely positive reaction to it so happy days. I will wear another one tonight."
For those wishing to emulate the mum-of-eight's style, the black chokers are available at most high street shops for under €10, proving that Miriam is a fan of affordable fashion.
"My style is eclectic. I don't have a stylist but there are wonderful women working in the RTE wardrobe department," she said.
"I bought it [the choker] myself in Topshop. I'm used to getting lots of reaction to what I wear on TV and that is fine - by and large people are really kind and funny."
Miriam, who is nominated for the Best Dressed Woman gong at this year's Peter Mark VIP Style Awards, has previously spoken about never being afraid to experiment when it comes to her wardrobe.
"I try not to be a slave to every recent trend and always wear what I like and what I feel good in," she said.
"It's always important to remain true to yourself, to who you are.
"By and large, I suit structure and simplicity in clothes.
"I like trying different looks as well - otherwise you bore yourself and everyone else who's forced to look at you in their living rooms," she added.
The 53-year-old also recently revealed that she wears hair extensions to make her hair look fuller.
"I like them because they make your hair so bouncy.
"I wore them for a few shows and then I realised that most TV presenters wear them, but they just don't say it," she revealed.
"I think it's the same reason people don't say why they dye their hair and they want people to think they woke up like this."
