Marian to make TV comeback

Queen of the airwaves Marian Finucane is making a triumphant return to the small screen.

Marian, who hosted Crimeline for a number of years, is back on RTE One with a new programme Does God Hate..., which will debate some of the major issues of our day.

The programme will be aired in the slot usually held by The Week In Politics and, it is understood, will run for four weeks.

Never one to step back from controversy, the first episode of Marian's new series is entitled 'Does God Hate... Sex?' It promises to look at the controversial subject of sex, and its treatment by the various religions and churches.

Marian will be joined by an expert panel, which will include Sen David Norris, commentator Brenda Power and Roisin Boyd.

The series, which begins on September 27 at 10.30pm, will also ask if God hates peace, women and science.

It will come as no surprise to many that Marian is returning to TV as her RTE Radio One show is the highest-rated weekend radio show in Ireland.
