Keelin's back on TV as consumer champ
Former Morning Edition host Keelin Shanley will tonight make her first TV appearance since the programme was axed last year.
Shanley presented the programme for more than two years, pulling in average ratings of 13,600.
The show was cancelled last November due to "ongoing financial pressure", according to RTE.
However Keelin will be back on our screens today after more than three months off the air.
The journalist will be presenting the Consumer show, with this evening's episode the first in a 10-part series.
The RTE programme will also see reporters Tadhg Enright and Ella McSweeney look at issues that affect the pockets of consumers and investigate their complaints.
Tonight's edition will air at 8.30pm and looks at Ireland's most common form of food poisoning.
The show will look at the facts and figures surrounding the potentially life-threatening bacteria, known as Campylobacter, which affects thousands of consumers every year.
In rare circumstances it can cause Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a severely debilitating condition of the nervous system which affects 1 in 100 people who contract Campylobacter food poisoning.
