It's girl power as Bressie gets all dolled-up for Voice final showdown
He's one of the hottest men on Irish television, but Bressie shocked fans as he revealed a whole new look on Twitter.
The heart-throb (34) showed off his latest fashion statement to his thousands of followers when he tweeted a picture of himself wearing a wig and dress as he filmed a comedy skit for next weekend's final of The Voice of Ireland.
The Mullingar native, who is a judge on the singing competition, might be known for his manly persona, but he appeared more that comfortable in the revealing selfie.
However, Bressie's model girlfriend Roz Purcell obviously doesn't approve of her beau's drastic new look as she took to Twitter to express her horror at the snap.
The former Miss Universe Ireland said she was terrified by her long-term boyfriend's dolled-up appearance, tweeting: "This really scares me."
Bressie's fellow judge Una Foden also tweeted some behind-the-scenes snaps of the comedy sketch.
The Saturdays star shared a picture of herself with judge Rachel Stevens and presenter Kathryn Thomas dressed up and joked that the trio had formed a band.
She wrote: "New girl group LOL."
While the judges kept tight-lipped on the reason behind their unusual outfits, host Kathryn admitted it's part of an act for next week's final.
"It's a piece with me, Eoghan McDermott and the coaches and it's a little bonkers but they want to play it out for the final," she told the Herald.
"Lets just say it involves a lot of costume changes, all of us trying to go somewhere in a car plus lots of singing and dancing - neither of which I'm good at - but I think it will be really good fun."
However, it was back to business as Bressie swapped his questionable dress for a stylish tuxedo on last night's semi-final, when the remaining eight acts performed for a chance to win, with only half of them making it through.
It ended in shock for former Westlife star-turned-judge Kian Egan as both of his acts were sent home.
Kieran McKillop and Sarah McTernan from Team Rachel, Emma Humber from Team Bressie and Patrick Donoghue from Team Una all made it through to next week's final, but Kian was left disappointed as it was revealed he will miss out on a chance to be this year's winning judge.
Donnycarney hopeful Patrick made it through despite criticism of his rendition of Chaka Khan's Ain't Nobody.
Last night's results were down to the public vote and neither of the boyband star's final two acts shone.
Despite bringing the house down with his rendition of Guns N Roses classic Wel- come to the Jungle, Kian's contestant John Bonham failed to win enough public votes to make it through.
Also losing out on a place was heavily pregnant finalist Helena Bradley Bates who sang John Farnham's You're The Voice.
It was also the end of the road for John Sheehy from Team Una and Denise Morgan, who had previously entered the Voice UK, from Team Bressie.
X Factor judge Louis Walsh and his latest boyband Hometown were guests on the show, with the lads singing their number one single Cry For Help before flying back to the UK.
