Corrie star Kate Ford's most embarrassing moment? Making baby birth noises
Coronation Street's Kate Ford has revealed her most embarrassing moment playing Tracy Barlow - making birthing noises in post-production.
Ford (below), who has played the character for nine years, had to do labour scene "noises" which she described as "very embarrassing".
"When Tracy gave birth, I ended up having to do the labour noises in post-production. That was so embarrassing," she said.
"You make noises like that in isolation and it sounds like you're having sex. And I had to do the moans in front of an all-male crew. They just put a mic over you and say, 'Right, go! Do birthing sounds'."
Corrie fans were left devastated last week when the soap said farewell to Deirdre Barlow, one of its longest-serving characters.
Actress Anne Kirkbride, who played Deirdre for 42 years, died in January aged 60.
Her character's death in the show was attributed to a suspected aneurysm as she sat in a deckchair in the garden.
