'Caustic' Simon Cowell lost for words after X-Factor contestant has a go at him
X Factor judge Simon Cowell found himself at a loss for words, when one of the hopefuls called him “caustic”.
The TV mogul was shocked after yoga teacher Mary O’Sullivan performed Celine Dion’s Ave Maria for her audition, and asked to sing another song.
“I like you because you’re quite ballsy,” said Cowell, to which O’Sullivan replied: “But you’re caustic.”
Meanwhile, a barmaid was amongst the acts who received four yeses in the latest episode of The X Factor. Kiera Weathers impressed all four judges with her rendition of Ella Eyre’s We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off to get through to the next round of the ITV competition.
