Amanda Byram planning a return to our screens with TV fitness show
Amanda Byram has gone from fronting Ireland AM to presenting TV shows in both the UK and America - and now the Castleknock native hopes to return to our screens.
The 41-year-old former model has become an advocate of health and fitness over the past few years and has hopes of presenting a show around those topics.
"Career-wise there is a lot of stuff going on. I'm going out to LA again soon for some meetings and here I have been so focussed on the health and fitness stuff because I have been enjoying it so much," she said.
"I haven't done a show in Ireland since I left Ireland AM and it's definitely been something I've wanted to explore for a long time.
"I'm having meetings about it soon and I hope that it will be this year if the project is right.
"I would love to be doing more of a fitness show in the future," she added.
The presenter has also launched her own website this week where she shares fitness and diet tips with her fans and is also an ambassador for gluten-free energy bars, 9bar.
While she is open about her fitness regime, Amanda - who previously dated Patrick Kielty and was engaged to rugby player Craig McMullen - prefers to keep quiet about her new relationship.
"I was single for so long and was so happy being alone. It took me a long, long time and I went to some dark places while I got to my happy place and then I met my new boyfriend last May," she revealed to Naturally Good Health magazine.
"I am a private person but I was very open about cancelling my wedding, being happily single and talking whether I would have kids or not.
"Having met my boyfriend, all of a sudden things change and for the first time I don't know what the future holds.
"I would hope at some point in the future there is a settled life and kids," she added.
