Sile Seoige was excited to take on the part of Surfia in the revived musical I, Keano and her stage debut didn’t disappoint.

A number of celebs turned out for the opening night of the new production of the popular comedy musical.

The show is a satirical look at the World Cup fiasco in Saipan in 2002 and this weekend marked Sile’s first time on stage.

She plays Surfia, a character based on Niall Quinn’s wife, Gillian (left) and the glamorous couple loved the show.

“Chatting to the fab Gillian and Niall Quinn at the opening night of I, Keano and they loved it,” Sile captioned a snap of her with the couple.

Sile (below) had told the Diary that she was excited about taking on the role.

“I was very giddy coming in to do this – it’s a real thrill for me because I haven’t been on a stage like this since I was in school,” she said.

And her first night on stage didn’t disappoint, “What an experience ... I loved every second. Over the moon to be part of it, such a talented team,” she said.

Other celebs who turned out for the opening night included actor Brian Gleeson, Gay Byrne, and boyband manager Louis Walsh.

Tubs’ boys on night out

On Friday night Ryan Tubridy went partying with bad boy Calum Best.

Calum was a guest on the Late Late Show, as was Sex and the City star Kim Catrall – but while Kim opted for an early night, Ryan and Calum hit the tiles at Lillie’s Bordello on Grafton Street.

They enjoyed a boys night out at the exclusive VIP library bar where they chilled out with pals, including Game of Thrones star Liam Cunnigham and master chef Dylan McGrath.
