SHE'S been gearing up to the big day for months and TV presenter Jennifer Maguire looked picture perfect as she walked down the aisle.

The Republic of Telly presenter said 'I do' to long-term partner and "best friend" Lau Zamparelli yesterday in front of 70 close friends and family, including siblings who flew home from America and Dubai.

The 34-year-old looked absolutely stunning in a Kathy D'Stafford gown and Jimmy Choo sandals as she arrived for the ceremony at the exclusive Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan.

David Cashman did her hair and Melissa, from Inglo did her make-up.

Celebrations

Dubliner Jennifer and her husband are now set to jet off to the Seychelles on a romantic honeymoon for the whole of July.

It's been a busy few months work-wise for the RTE star and she told the Herald she's looking forward to chilling out on a beach.

"I'm counting the hours until we're on the plane, because it will be my first proper holiday in 10 years," Jennifer said.

"Luckily I can completely zone out on a beach. My sister will be minding my house and I will have no emails to check because my schedule is completely free for that period, which is amazing."

When the newly-weds return home, Jennifer is set to complete production on her next show.

She and fellow TV anchor Darren Kennedy have been lined up to
front a Reality Bites programme for RTE.

The project, entitled The Unemployables, will focus on people around the country who have been living on social welfare for several years.

"We put a call out for people,
folk on the dole for three years or more and we're trying to get them back to scratch," Jennifer said.

"It's an eye opener, it's opening up a can of worms," she said.

Earlier this year she and Katherine Lynch starred in The Centre, a fly-on-the-wall style show which followed the daily grind at St Bartholomew's Community Centre in the heart of Fieldstown, a grim local authority housing estate once voted the third least desirable place to live in Ireland.

In addition, the brunette has been adapting to very early mornings since taking on her post as a co-host on 2fm's breakfast show with Bernard O'Shea and Keith Walsh.
