nicola is packing her bags for tv

MODEL Nicola Hughes has set her sights on breaking into television and could soon be heading off to Canada.

The blonde beauty (inset), who is signed to the books of Andrea Roche's agency, is one of the lucky few who is being lined up to travel to Vancouver to take part in a new fly-on-the-wall programme for RTE.

The reality show, entitled Exiles, will follow eight aspiring stars in their twenties as they take on the city to find success. Sandyford native Nicola has already had a taste of the glamorous model lifestyle in recent years thanks to her work in front of the cameras and will no doubt be a natural on screen.

The series is the first of its kind from the national broadcaster since they broadcast Fade Street, which catapulted Howth DJ Vogue Williams, the tall wife of former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, into the spotlight.

Exiles is being made by Straywave Media.

The production company is also behind TV3 hits Celebrity Salon and Dublin Wives.

Boss Stephen McCormack has been holding castings for weeks around the country for potential stars, and filming in Canada will begin in November.
