LOUIS Walsh will return to X Factor tonight -- his first appearance on the show since the tragic death of Boyzone star Stephen Gately.

The pop supremo will take his chair alongside fellow X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue and provide support to both his acts -- Miss Frank and John and Edward.

Meanwhile, Dublin twins John and Edward Grimes admitted they've been battling their nerves ahead of tonight's show, which is being screened on TV3.

Nervous

"I'm very nervous because I feel we have to prove ourselves every week. It's going to be huge," said Edward.

The twins are expecting to do well with the big band theme -- and they had crooner Michael Buble on hand this week to give them some valuable tips.

"We will be performing on stage with this ultimate big band -- how cool is that?

"We are going to go out there and give a really big performance," John said.

Meanwhile, top Dublin barber Hughie McAllister will be appearing on the Xtra Factor tonight to speak about the infamous 'John and Edward' hairstyle. Producers of the show contacted the Grafton Barber owner two weeks ago after they heard of a number of teenage boys requesting the platinum blonde, high-spiked style.

The Xtra Factor, hosted by Holly Willoughby, has arranged for a live link to be set up by telephone and the barber will speak to her about the popular new hairstyle.

"I don't know what they'll ask, which is pretty nerve-wracking," Hughie told the Herald.

He is backing the boys to continue on in the finals.

"I think they could still swing another two weeks."

Meanwhile, Westlife are preparing for their live performance on Sunday night's results show.

Despite their wealth of experience however, the group have admitted it will be "scary".

Confessed

This will be the first time Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan will have been on stage since taking a year off.

Mark confessed that singing in front of 15 million viewers was intimidating.

"It's like being a teenager at your first audition," he said.
