Florence and the Machine and Underworld to headline Electric Picnic

Florence + The Machine has promised "big sounds" for new album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Florence and the Machine and Underworld have been confirmed as early headliners for this year's Electric Picnic festival.

The boutique festival is held in Stradbally, Co Laois from 4th to 6th September. It represents a first return to the festival for Florence Welch who made her Irish debut there in 2008.

Other acts which have been confirmed for the festival include Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers, Róisín Murphy, Tame Impala, Hot Chip,

Belle & Sebastian, The War On Drugs, George Ezra, Future Islands and Jurassic 5.

Tickets on sale now as follows from www.ticketmaster.ie  and come in three price categories.

A €154.50 if you can prove you’ve been to 3 or more Picnics [only available until 8th of March]

B: €174.50 if you can prove you’ve been to the Picnic once/twice before [only available until 8th of March]

C: €194.50 if you haven’t been before
