Blur to headline Electric Picnic

Blur have stormed to the top of the album charts
Blur have stormed to the top of the album charts

Blur will headline Electric Picnic alongside Florence & The Machine, Roísín Murphy and Underworld.

THe British band have just gone straight to number one in the Irish album charts on Friday and they'll be hitting Stradbally to promote The Magic Whip in September.

Also announced today for the festival running September 4-6 are:

Alex James recently told the Irish Independent, "I really, really hope we get to play Ireland on this record. We're not going to do too many shows and we want to keep them special."
