OLYMPIC gold medallist Katie Taylor and TV's Craig Doyle provided the glamour as the travel world celebrated the best in the business last night with the ITAA awards.
There were awards for airlines Aer Lingus, United and Etihad, while Royal Caribbean, Silversea and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises scooped awards in the cruise category awards.
The accolades, chosen by travel agents around the country, saw Barcelona chosen as best European city destination, while New York was named best worldwide destination at the awards in the Mansion House.
Topflight won in the ski category, Falcon Holidays was voted Best European Tour Operator, while Irish Ferries won the ferry company category.
Irish Travel Agents Association chief executive Pat Dawson paid tribute to the winners, who also included Blue insurance, Jurys hotels and Bookabed.
