The flame-haired beauty, who plays Bree van de Kamp in the American show, is flying into Ireland to appear on the programme.
An inside source revealed how Ireland has a special place in her heart after a previous visit here and she jumped at the opportunity to come back.
"She was here in Ballyvaughan last year on a sneaky holiday with her husband, so she adores Ireland," the source said.
Cross is expected to reveal all to Brendan O'Connor about life behind the scenes on the Grammy-winning show set around the residents of Wisteria Lane.
When quizzed about her time on the show,Cross has always insisted she's nothing like her house proud alter-ego. "I used to say, 'No, I'm nothing like her, I'm not a good cook.' But they always looked crestfallen so I stopped," she said.
Cross turned 50 recently, which is partly why she has decided not to take on another show right away.
"People spend so much time talking about turning 50 in the sense of turning grey or eyes starting to droop, but what most people fail to talk about is that it means your time is running out.
"It's about recognising how precious time is. That's why I'm not looking to find another TV series at the moment," she said.
Cross was also rocked when her stockbroker husband Tom Mahoney received news he had throat cancer.
It was a difficult time for Cross, who lost her first husband Richard Jordan to a brain tumour in 1993.
Mahoney is now in remission.
