Holly Carpenter loving the single life a year after Cian Healy split
It's been a year since her high-profile split with rugby star Cian Healy - and Holly Carpenter insists she couldn't be happier with single life.
The Dublin model (23) has been single since the pair broke up last summer, and she's enjoying being on the market.
"No [I'm not dating anyone], it's nice to be single," she told the Herald.
The former Miss Ireland has been too busy rocking out at festivals to look for love and is no rush to settle down just yet, she insists.
"I went to Forbidden Fruit and Longitude with the girls - I'm only 23, so all my friends are single and we're just a group of girls having so much fun, so it's nice."
After their breakup, Holly fled to London to pursue her modelling career across the pond, but now she's "happy out" to be back working on Irish soil.
"It's good to be here and stick to what I know for a while," she said
Along with her successful modelling career, the Raheny native is known for her social media presence.
However, despite her love of Instagram and Snapchat, the beauty queen said the apps have their "downsides" and admitted to creating a "bit of a facade" on her personal accounts.
"I think there's a lot of pressure to look good and there are so many filters now that people don't really know what's real and what's not real. It's very fake," Holly explained.
"We all just show everyone what we want them to see. You might put up a selfie, but it might not be from that day. You could be having a really bad day but you're like 'feeling amazing!' on the picture.
"It's all a bit of a facade."
The former Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model contestant is no stranger to being on screen and has previously spoken out about her presenting ambitions.
However, she has decided to put her TV dreams on the backburner for now.
