Foodie model Roz Purcell is well-used to posing in front of the cameras, but now it's her food that is taking centre stage in the studio as she starts putting together her debut cookbook.

The former Miss Universe Ireland (24) is set to launch her first book just before Christmas, featuring a collection of her recipes from her clean-eating blog Natural Born Feeder.

After she finished writing the healthy eating bible a few weeks ago, Roz revealed she has now started shooting the photos for the book.

The svelte brunette will be busy in the kitchen creating photogenic goodies and she couldn't be happier.

"The first day of the Natural Born Feeder cookbook … Best way to spend the next few weeks - cooking," she wrote on Instagram.

"I have my eating pants on."

Speaking to the Diary recently, Roz said she doesn't mind being pitched against Rosanna Davison's new book, which is due out this August.

"You know what, at the end of the day we're all promoting the same thing, which is a healthy lifestyle and surely that's a good thing - degree or no degree," she said.

"There are lots of healthy food bloggers out there and we all support each other."

Droves of fans gathered at the Kilorglin fast food joint, which is run by the actor's cousins Jesse and Garrath, to see the former Love/Hate star and his beefcake brother Brendan flip burgers on Saturday.

Speaking to the Diary last week, Garrath Sheehan said he was keen to see his famous cousin sweat it out in the kitchen.
