I adore Gabriel and Ireland - I will be back, says Juliette Binoche
Oscar-winning actress Juliette Binoche has revealed she has a soft spot for Ireland and for Irish actor Gabriel Byrne.
The French beauty (51) is set to star alongside the Dublin actor in two upcoming films - The 33, and Nobody Wants The Night - and she couldn't be happier.
Juliette, who won an Oscar for her role in 1996 movie The English Patient, said that working with the Irish film legend reminds her of happy times in Ireland.
"I absolutely adore Gabriel, not only because he's such a wonderful actor but he reminds me of a wonderful time in Ireland," she said.
The Chocolat star spent time on Irish shores when shooting the 2014 drama A Thousand Times Goodnight, which was shot in Howth, and she admitted she is eager to return to the country.
"It was my first time filming in Ireland and I am certain it won't be the last," she told Woman's Way.
"The energy, the vibrancy of the country combined with the an atmosphere of love and patience, it reinvigorated my essence. I will definitely be coming back there soon."
Juliette isn't the only international star to sing the praises of Quirke actor Gabriel.
British star Richard E Grant recently told the Herald that he couldn't help but admire the Dubliner's charisma when they worked together on 2005 flick Wah Wah. "He was extraordinary," he said.
"If you ever wanted to know where Gabriel was at any point of the day, you'd just need to look where there was a group of women clustered and in the middle of them would be Gabriel Byrne - that tells you about the man's charisma."
