Fifty Shades of Green as Jamie Dornan thrills fans at Aviva
He’s been on a non-stop promotional tour for Fifty Shades of Grey over the past few months, but Jamie Dornan enjoyed some well deserved down time hanging out with fans at the big match.
The Co Down man set hearts a flutter when he posed with fans at the Six Nations clash between Ireland and England at the Aviva Stadium.
Cork girls Ciara Nation and Zoe Buckley couldn’t believe their luck that they had not only won tickets to the game, but they were the only female fans anywhere near the hunky actor as well.
“We won the tickets through Lifestyle Sports where we work and we got brilliant seats,” Ciara told the Herald.
“Jamie Dornan happened to be sitting two rows in front of us and we couldn’t contain our excitement. We tried to watch the match but all we could think about was how we were going to get a picture with him,” she continued.
“We finally built up the courage to ask him for a picture at half time and he couldn’t have accepted in a nicer way – he was a complete gent,” she added.
Zoe explained why he wasn’t surrounded by fans looking for selfies. “We were lucky enough to be the only two girls sitting near him so he wasn’t bombarded with requests for pictures,” she said.
“Then at the end of the match we noticed Fran from Love/Hate so we got a picture with him too,” she said telling how the cheeky pair nabbed a snap with actor Peter Coonan as well.
“He was chatting to Jamie for a good while afterwards,” she said.
“It was a brilliant day and they were both so nice and made time for their fans,” Zoe added.
It’s believed that Jamie is in town ahead of the filming of his next project Jadotville, telling Irish soldiers’ stories fighting in Congo in the 1960s.
The star was also spotted enjoying a few quiet drinks with pals in Bruxelles off Graton Street on Saturday night.
