FFF ENTERTAINING revellers with some summer fun, music act Summer Heart is set to belt out his tunes live in Whelans on October 3.

With over half a million plays on Sound Cloud, Swedish artist David Alexander started Summer Heart as a home recording project in 2009. Inspired by the warmer months, he tried to capture the hope you feel when days are getting longer, and the gloomy emptiness of autumn winds taking over. Tickets are priced at €12 on www.ticketmaster.ie and all usual Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

FFF MODEL beauty Emily MacKeogh and pal Suzy Griffin will be welcoming the social set this week with a night to raise money for animals.

The duo are hosting an evening of canapes and cocktails at the Candlelight Bar in Dundrum on Thursday and all proceeds will go to the ISPCA. Bucks Townhouse hostess Michele McGrath, as well as Gail Kaneswaran, Emily O'Donnell and Hayley Ryan will all be in attendance.

FFF CONGRATULATIONS to Ronan Phelan, who has been honoured by the Abbey Theatre with this year's Lennox Robinson Bursary for Resident Assistant Director (RAD).

The RAD scheme, running since 2007, is funded by the Lennox Robinson Estate and offers up-and-coming directors a chance to gain some valued experience and the opportunity to work alongside many of the best Irish and international directors and actors on the circuit. Ronan will take up his post as Resident Assistant Director for one year at the Abbey Theatre from September 22.

FFF ART lovers are now flocking to see Meditation on Plates: Inspired by Lord Charlemont's Casino in the Casino Marino, after it was officially opened over the weekend.
