Danny joins glen for pint

IT seems half of Dublin turned out this week to watch The Frames perform - and Danny O'Reilly was among the fans to avail of the free bar.

The Coronas frontman (inset)attended the sold-out gig in Whelan's to help toast the 25th anniversary of the venue on Monday and was invited up on stage by Glen Hansard to belt out a number with the legendary group as it was announced that the drinks bill would be picked up by the band.

His performance was met by raucous applause from the audience, all enjoying a late night out to the full.

Also out and about was British sports star Freddie Flintoff.

The English cricketer and A League of Their Own star arrived at Dublin hotspot Lillie's Bordello to kick back over a few tipples with some friends. Big Brother favourite Brian Dowling was also at the nightclub.
