Festival are taking that quite literally ahead of this year's laughter-fest. On Tuesday, a super-fast comedy gig will take place in a Victorian style theatre inside a horsebox. The gig featuring Brian 'Q' Quinn will be held outside the IFSC in Dublin.

✦✦✦ IT isn't over until it's over - and Bacardi are getting set to make the Longitude party last even longer. Three exclusive after-parties will be held at the Sugar Club on Leeson Street for the three nights of the music extravaganza. Dublin Afrobeat Ensemble, Rich Medina (pictured), DJ Scope and Choice Cut DJs will ensure that festival-goers can keep on going into the early hours.

✦✦✦ SMASH hit show New Jersey Nights is coming back to Ireland for a two-week run at the Olympia Theatre, and kicking off its extended stint tonight. The production is an all-out celebration of the music of Franki Vallie and the Four Seasons. The musical proved hugely popular when it first ran in The Gaiety theatre earlier this year and tickets are now on sale for shows up until August 2. Tickets are priced from €23, including booking fee, and can be bought from www.ticketmaster.ie and all usual Ticketmaster outlets.

✦✦✦ CASTLEPALOOZA looks set to make a fun-filled August bank holiday weekend for music and art lovers. Set in the wooded wonderland around Charleville Castle in Tullamore, extra details for the festival were announced this week. A range of music acts will entertain visitors across four stages from morning until midnight. Acts such as The Pale, Heroes in Hiding and Buffallo Sun are just some of the names that will take to the stage.
