✦✦✦ CHILDREN'S presenter Diana Bunici turned out to help launch the Irish Film Institute Family Festival in Temple Bar yesterday. She was joined by top Irish magician Brian Daly and some of the event's Young Media Explorers. The festival, which will run from today until July 20, showcases the best of family cinema from around the world.

✦✦✦ SUPERMODEL Jodie Kidd has been unveiled as a brand ambassador for women's sports lifestyle company Green Lamb. The partnership with the British blonde sees the launch of a new ladies' performance clothing range named after the leggy catwalk queen.

It will be available 
from major UK and Irish retailers in the spring of 2015 and no doubt ­
fashionistas will be ­scrambling to get their hands on the items.

✦✦✦ ATTENTION aspiring ­novelists, the Irish Writers' Centre and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig have come together to offer a two-week fully resourced writer-in-residence bursary to take place in spring 2015. The award is named in honour of Jack Harte, founder of the Irish Writers' Centre, in celebration and acknowledgement of his contribution to Irish literature.
