C'est la Vie - Bono and Ali soak up the sun on French Riviera

All aboard. U2 frontman Bono and wife Ali Hewson soaked up the sun on a boat trip around the French Riviera this week.

Ali looked chic in a simple
but stylish cotton tunic and flip flops while Bono opted for black jeans, a straw trilby hat and some aviator shades.

The couple seemed in high
spirits as they boarded a small speed boat before being ferried across the sea to luxury yacht Oasis.

Earlier in the week, the couple threw an exclusive party to celebrate the news that their eco-friendly clothing label Edun is now being stocked by on line website mytheresa.com.

Leonardo DiCaprio, director Spike Jonze and model Daisy Lowe all attended the exclusive do at 'Chez Hewson' and were served up frothy peach bellinis on their arrival.

Speaking at the party, mum-of-four Ali said both she and Bono love throwing parties in their plush pads as "we're Irish. It's what we do, we invite people into our homes".

After the drinks reception, guests made their way to
Anjuna Beach restaurant where they tucked into platters of salmon and beef carpaccio and salt-crusted branzino.

Once the guests were wined and dined, they were driven to Jimmy'z Club in neighbouring Monaco to dance the night
away.

Unfortunately, Leo was feeling tired and ducked out early.

Bono and Hewson's clothing brand has experienced financial difficulties in the past few
years but with the continuing support of luxury brand LVMH group Edun is coming into its own.

Rocker Bono compared
the clothing label to UFC
champion Conor McGregor's
cage fighting career saying: "These baby brands, they get
legs, get strong, then get into the ring."

Last week, Bono stormed the stage at Leonardo DiCaprio's environmental fundraising gala in Saint Tropez performing a version of Stand By me.

Marion Cotillard, Jared Leto, Cara Delevingne, Robin
Thicke and Joan Collins were among the VIP guests at the event.
