Artist Una returns to the screen
FROM actress to in-demand artist and back again, life is very busy for former Fair City star Una Kavanagh these days.
After a hectic period overseas, this week the Dubliner started production on her next assignment for the screen.
The project, entitled The Good Word, began filming in Belfast on Tuesday and sees the pretty brunette show off her talent in a 1950s thriller, written by Stuart Neville.
"I'm lucky that I get to work with some really cool people and I'm looking forward to this," she said.
"I like to mix it up when it comes to my doing theatre or screen, so this is exciting."
Una, who trained in the National College of Art and Design, has just returned from Abu Dhabi where she was invited as one of five artists to take part in a prestigious arts festival.
"The art scene over there is really emerging and I was brought over to do a film installation," Una told the Diary.
"It was absolutely amazing, such a fantastic experience.
"I've been invited back too, which is a huge honour," she said. "I'm working on a script too, so there's plenty happening."
