Zara moves on from Mike's world cup woe
IT'S the last place you would expect to see members of royalty - but Zara Phillips and her rugby player husband Mike Tindall seem right at home at a darts tournament.
The royal couple joined friends at the World Darts Championships in London last night and appeared to get into the spirit of the occasion with Mike cheering and Zara holding signs aloft.
The event followed the pair's first Christmas as a married couple which saw them attend Sandringham Church for the traditional Christmas Day service with the queen and fellow members of the royal family.
Equestrian star Zara (30), who is the daughter of Princess Anne and grand-daughter of the queen, wed England international rugby player Mike (32) in Edinburgh last July.
Regarded by many royal-watchers as a "down-to-earth" couple, the pair were rocked by scandal just weeks later during the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
Husband Mike was snapped in a clinch with a blonde woman, left, while enjoying a night out with his team-mates.
However, friends of the couple claim the woman was a well-known friend of the pair and nothing untoward happened. The couple have put on a strong united front since the controversy.
