Winning yummy mummy Carrie-Anne turns model mentor as TV search for new Irish beauties returns
Friday November 27 2009
A second series of RTE's The Model Agent is set to hit the small screen next year -- with a new addition to the line-up in the form of this year's winner, Carrie-Anne Burton.
The Herald can reveal the mum-of-one (left) has been approached to join the programme as a mentor, after wowing TV bosses when she took part as a contestant last year.
The striking brunette (20) generated acres of press coverage when it emerged that she was pregnant with her first child during the final episode.
Since giving birth to her son Max, at the Ulster Hospital in Belfast last July, the beauty has gone from strength to strength.
Campaign
She even landed a job as the face of renowned designer Peter O'Brien's final A-Wear campaign last month.
Programme insiders have revealed that the new series will be longer than the original six episodes, with changes to the format.
It is unclear yet whether supermodel Erin O'Connor and mentor Ellis will be rejoining the line-up but producers are said to be in talks with the high profile duo at present.
Runner-up Amber Jean Rowan, from Clontarf in Dublin, is also expected to make an appearance on the show and may even join the judges on the streets of Dublin in search of the latest crop of Irish beauties.
The teenage schoolgirl hit the headlines thanks to her difficult battle with hair-loss condition, alopecia, which meant she was forced to wear a blonde wig throughout filming.
Since the show ended, she and has been signed to Independent model agency in the UK, alongside Carrie-Anne.
A show insider said of the plan for the new series: "They're negotiating it at the moment, but hopefully it will go ahead.
"Budgets are a lot smaller now and the details of who will be appearing on it have yet to be worked out."
