Fans of the up and coming band will hear their single -- All I Want -- feature in an episode of the show early next year.
The song has already featured on an episode in the US -- leading to hopes that the band could see their fortunes rise stateside.
Guitarist Mark Prendergast (23) says he always had a feeling their song would end up on the show.
"It's actually really weird because we used to say that the song sounded like it should feature on Grey's Anatomy," the Swords native said.
"And then we got the call from our record label and we couldn't believe it. It was so weird."
Kodaline are signed with Sony and have been dubbed the new Coldplay, The Script, Elbow and The Verve -- depending on what music magazine you're reading.
It's quite an impressive list of names but Mark says the band don't take it too seriously.
"Yeah -- I mean you have to take those things with a pinch of salt, but if people want to compare us with them we'll definitely take it."
They may be music heavyweights in the making but the band actually started out on RTE's talent show You're A Star.
The lads, who were then called 21 Demands, scored a chart-topping hit with Give Me A Minute.
Mark says the show was a great learning curve for him. "It was a great experience, I don't know if it's the right route for bands to go down but I'm not ashamed of it at all. It was a laugh."
Kodaline's current line-up of Stephen Garrigan, Vinnie May Jr, Jason Boland and Mark Prendergast formed earlier this year.
"Jay just joined us in February," Mark says. "We had our first recording session on Valentine's Day -- not very romantic."
The boys play the Button Factory in Dublin on December 2. And their schedule is jam-packed with gigs over in the UK and in the States. In fact, the band have just moved to Birmingham to facilitate touring.
But Mark says there's no place like home and makes sure he stayed stocked up with home comforts. "My mum sends me packs of tea. And I load up on Ballymaloe relish whenever I'm home. I put it on everything."
