Watch out Twink, Nadia's our new panto queen

Watch out Twink -- top model Nadia Forde is loving her new stint as a modern day panto queen.

The well-known personality has just started rehearsals on this year's production of the Cheerios panto Snow White And The Adventures of Sammy Sausages at the Tivoli Theatre.

legend

And the 23-year-old has revealed she has definitely been bitten by the acting bug and would love to carry on performing in 2013.

"Twink's such a legend and she's performing herself in Limerick this year so there's no shortage of work for her. It's good to see fresh faces in the panto, though, and if this led to more work for me, that would be amazing," she said.

"I'll just have to see how I get on. Niamh Kavanagh was in the panto last year as well and she's been brilliant for giving me advice."

This week saw the entire cast get together for the first time as they start work on the popular show -- with Nadia managing to conquer her initial nerves about performing live.

"We have just finished the first day of rehearsals and it's all going great. Everyone's getting on well and we're just going through all the technical stuff and concentrating on getting that right. We've all been having a laugh so far, we'll be like a little family by the end," she continued.

She has been spreading her wings a lot lately, having been meeting with some top talent agencies in London amid a possible move to the UK in 2013.

But Nadia said she's more than happy to spend Christmas in Dublin, especially as the panto is getting her in the Yuletide mood. "It makes you really nostalgic in a way as I would have been to loads of pantos as a kid and now I'm like, 'Oh God, I'm going to do it this year'," she explained.

"It's going to be a great way to spend it and it really gets you in the Christmas mood when you're part of it every night."

performance

There's just two weeks left before the curtain rises on the show. And Nadia, who'll play the part of the Good Queen, reckons they'll give the audience a performance to remember.

The show, which co-stars Alan Hughes as Sammy Sausages, Brian Dowling as the Mirror and Niall Sheehy as the Charming Prince, will open from December 12.
