Professional showjumper and ex model Rachel (25), who once dated Cian O'Connor, said: "It's going great, I moved over here a couple of weeks ago and I'm really loving it."
She spent a fortnight in training as she got to grips with the cut and thrust of a busy London newsroom.
But this week saw her completing her first live broadcast to millions of TV viewers after being installed as one of the station's new "lovelies", alongside regulars including Georgie Thompson and Natalie Sawyer.
The former Assets model has now sparked a storm of speculation in cyberspace as to her identity and background, with viewers giving her the big thumbs up in her new role with the 24-hour news organisation.
The Kildare-born presenter is no stranger to fans of Sky Sports though, as she previously fronted an equestrian programme which saw her covering events all over Ireland.
She started off working with David Harvey's City Channel on her own entertainment programme, before moving on to front the Show Jumping Ireland Premier Series for the sports channel.
But her big break came last year after being signed up to co-present a new motoring show called Xcellerate, which started off on 3e but was moved to TV3 earlier this year.
The determined blonde has admitted that she has to work that bit harder to prove herself in the macho environments of sport and motors.
"I put a lot of pressure on myself to be professional as I felt like I had something to prove as one of the only Irish women presenting a motor show," she said.
