Neil Hannon of the Divine Comedy will be dishing the dirt to RTE's John Kelly this evening at an invite-only event in the Clarence Hotel.

The performer will be looking back over the highs and lows of his career over the past 15 years as he waxes lyrical with the presenter.

  • Celebrity stylist Celia Holman Lee will be turning on the bridal style as she takes centre stage at a bash in Kerry this month.
  • Ireland's most glamorous granny, as she's known these days, will be hosting Dunloe Castle's first wedding fair on July 19.

    Celia will be talking audiences through the two fashion shows on the day, featuring more than 60 wedding outfits, while more than 30 exhibitors will be showing off their wares.

    There is €1,000 worth of Espa products and treatments up for grabs, with a complimentary wine reception laid on by the hotel for wedding bookings taken from July 19 to August 19.

  • Fair City star Ciara O'Callaghan will be painting the town red this evening when she helps launch the latest work for her artist pal Vincent Keeling.
  • The actress, who plays Yvonne in the RTE soap, will be joining a horde of culture vultures at the Oisin Gallery on Westland Row for the launch party. Featuring an exhibition of oil paintings of roses, the show runs for three days with all items discounted for its duration.

  • Wexford Street will be getting an injection of some real Latin flavour next week for the Little Havana festival.
  • The launch party for the forthcoming celebration will be in Whelans next Tuesday with plenty of sultry types expected to attend.

    Highlights of the July 16-18 event include performances from the Cuban Jazz Project and the Cuban All Stars, as well as plenty of Latin dancers and artists taking to the popular pubs on the southside street.

  • Actress Maggie Gyllenhall has revealed her on-going struggle to give up smoking.
  • "Not smoking is a never-ending struggle," the Batman star admitted.

    "You put a cigarette to your mouth, you light it, and you know that you're hurting yourself. I did it at least 10 times a day and my throat hurt, my voice was gone, but I still was attracted to it."
