Britney Spears fans, take note. A handful of extra tickets for her forthcoming Dublin extravaganza are due to go on sale next Monday and are expected to be snapped up like the proverbial hot cakes.

The sexy star, who is currently re-igniting her career with her smash-hit concert Circus, is performing at the O2 on June 19 and 20.

Now Aiken Promotions have announced that they will be releasing some 'in the zone' tickets for those who want to get a bird's eye look at the star as she struts her stuff on stage. Seated tickets will also go on sale on June 8, priced at between €86.25 to €136.25.



  • Dublin musician Colm Lynch will be taking centre stage in celeb haunt Lillie's tomorrow evening.

The muso will be kicking off a series of live acts this summer entitled Live at the Library, starting this weekend.

Over the next few months, the venue will play host to some of Ireland's top musical acts who will be entertaining members and invited guests over the coming weeks.



  • Grumpy George Hook will be going head-to-head with writer Paul Howard shortly in a live debate for the Dubliner.

The Newstalk presenter will be getting the low-down from the creator of Ross O'Carroll Kelly on the changes that the past 10 years have brought to, loike, the southside of Dublin.

It will be champagne mojitos and Dubes at the ready in the Westbury Hotel on June 10 for the bash, which is being billed as a Munster versus Leinster verbal clash.



  • Independent music store Tower Records will host the launch of a new charity compilation CD, Sparks n' Mind, next Thursday.

Released in order to raise funds for Irish group Aware, the event will feature some live music from some of the tracks featured on the album, including Ham Sandwich and Le Galaxie.

Other acts who have loaned their talents to the worthy cause, include Bell X1, Republic of Loose, Lisa Hannigan, Cowboy X, Damien Dempsey and The Flaws.
