FORMER top model and legendary muse Pattie Boyd has revealed she chose Dublin to exhibit her photographic work after being bowled over by the capital's "great people".

The star arrived in Dublin last night for the official launch of her exhibition Through the Eye of a Muse at Gallery Number One in the city centre.

Ms Boyd, who was married to the late George Harrison, a former Beatle, and rocker Eric Clapton, is exhibiting photographs illustrating her time with both men.

"I chose to display my photos in Dublin because I think it's truly a wonderful place with a great culture and atmosphere and lots of great people," she told the Herald.

"When I was contacted by the owner of the gallery, I thought 'why not?'.

"I have visited Dublin in the past and I've really enjoyed it, but obviously this is my first exhibition in the city," she said.

The star also voiced her support for Jo Wood -- the wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood who is currently in a rehab facility receiving treatment for a well documented alcohol problem.

Speaking about Ronnie Wood's alleged affair with a young Russian waitress, Pattie said: "I know Ronnie very well and I have complete and utter sympathy for his wife - he's a total alcoholic. It's a difficult situation."

The star arrived in Dublin last night for the official launch of her photo exhibition, which will run until September 5.

Ms Boyd is thankful that she provided much inspiration for her former husbands when they were writing songs about her.

"What can I say only that it's very honourable, they were both my husbands at one point so obviously I knew them very intimately. It's truly an honour and it means a lot to me."

Pattie was the inspiration for the masterpiece songs Something, Layla, and Wonderful Tonight. She has documented her extraordinary life in both her autobiography Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, And Me and fine art photographs.

Since releasing her autobiography, Pattie's passion for photography has developed and through her membership of the Royal Photographic Society she has studied the great master photographers of the past as well as printing techniques.
