The Co Down sporting champ was more than happy to stay on the sidelines as he supported Caroline during day two of the Sony Ericsson Open in Florida.
Gazing adoringly at the Danish tennis star as she chatted to the media, Rory looked relaxed, dressed down in a casual white T shirt and knee-length shorts.
He waited patiently as Caroline chatted to her tennis rival, Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, before exiting the venue behind her.
Rory is now becoming a fixture on the tennis circuit.
He was in New York recently cheering on Caroline as she played against Maria Sharapova in a tournament.
Whether he can stick around and support her in the 2012 Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, Florida, remains to be seen.
The event will host some of the biggest stars in tennis including Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova and US sisters Venus and Serena Williams.
But Rory might have other things to attend to.
He was knocked off his world number one perch by England's Luke Donald over the weekend.
While that seemed to be the furthest thing from his mind when he's with Caroline, there's little doubt he will be eager to reclaim his crown.
Last week, he was invited to a State dinner at the White House with US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron, where he mixed with the cast of Downton Abbey and actors George Clooney and Damian Lewis.
