Strictly Come Dancing Tour to touch down in Dublin this month

EXCITEMENT is mounting ahead of this month's much anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Tour, which will touch down in Dublin on May 14.

Ten popular dancers from the hit BBC1 series will take to the stage at the O2 for three sellout dates -- May 14, 15 and 16. Fans can look forward to being taken on a rhythmic and colourful journey during the show, which features the Argentine tango, rumba rhythms, sizzling samba and mambo moves.



  • CALLING all singles! In anticipation of the much hyped Sex And The City 2 movie, due to hit the big screen later this month, a special Singles In The City event will take place at venues across the country.

The dating event will see single guys and girls invited to step out to pubs across the country in the hopes of finding love.

The first in the series of events will launch in Galway's popular Dail Bar on a day to be confirmed next week.



  • A special networking lunch will take place at No 5 South Leinster Street, a Georgian townhouse which is incorporated into the Millennium Wing of the National Gallery of Ireland, to celebrate the launch of Summer In Dublin 2010.

The event, which kicks off on May 14, will start with a drinks reception and fashion show, followed by lunch.

The event will finish with a unique History Of Fashion visual arts tour in the gallery.

In attendance will be arts officers and marketing managers from top city centre cultural organisations, such as National Gallery of Ireland, Temple Bar Cultural Trust, IMMA and representatives from Ireland's leading fashion retailers.



  • STYLE guru Brendan Courtney has been lined up to host a special bridal event this month at the D4 Berkeley Hotel.

One lucky bride-to-be will win a €10,000 wedding reception courtesy of the exclusive venue when it hosts its inaugural Wedding Fair on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, 23.

The four-star hotel, set in the heart of Ballsbridge, has brought together the very best bridal fashion, wedding suppliers and live entertainment to showcase the luxurious hotel as a perfect wedding venue.

Taking place from 11am to 5pm each day, with complimentary admission and parking, the Wedding Fair will be produced by 1st Option Models.



  • HIT Irish language drama Ros na Run is calling on Irish-speaking male actors to send in their CVs to the show as it attempts to find two male actors to play brothers Dara and Mark in the new season.

Producer of the show Hugh Farley admits that he's finding it difficult to find suitable candidates for the roles due to a lack of male interest.

Weatherman Daithi O Se was originally approached about the role but had to turn it down due to his packed work schedule.
