Simon offers holiday hideaway as Ronan and Yvonne to jet off in last attempt to save marriage
RONAN Keating and his wife Yvonne are planning make-or-break talks out of the media spotlight.
The former model (36) is said to have softened slightly toward her cheating husband in recent days, with Ronan back staying at their Abington mansion in Malahide.
The Life Is A Rollercoaster singer has been pictured taking his children to school each morning since returning from the K Club on Tuesday and is said to be working hard on rebuilding his relationship with Yvonne.
It is believed that the couple may be planning to jet out of the country for the weekend in a bid to escape the continuous media attention surrounding news of their split.
They are likely to head for their holiday home at Vale de Lobo in Portugal.
Pop mogul Simon Cowell is also understood to have offered the couple a holiday at his Barbados home to allow them to get away from Ireland and talk everything over.
Ronan is up against the clock to save his crumbling marriage as he is scheduled to depart for at least three months to Australia on June 22 in a €350,000 deal to appear on the Australian X Factor.
Ronan is now expected to put all his efforts into his new job as a judge on the Aussie version of X Factor as a source claims: "He's worried that if he stops, he'll break down. He's throwing himself into his work."
He has been confirmed as part of the line-up for the show, which said the 33-year-old is "excited" about his role.
Meanwhile, Cowell, who lined Ronan up for the show, has told the singer there is a place for him in Barbados if he needs it to work on his marriage.
It is a week since the couple came out publicly with the announcement of their split amid allegations that Ronan's seven-month relationship with backing singer Francine Cornell brought their 12-year marriage to an end.
Friends say the couple appear on the brink of reconciliation.
"Everyone is of the opinion now that they are going to work it out and get back together," said one.
Ronan was staying at the luxury K Club in Kildare but for the past few days he has been back at the couple's home in Malahide, involved in school runs and taking his youngest daughter to the creche.
The attention surrounding the couple's marriage has angered neighbours in the upmarket estate, with reporters and photographers keeping a daily watch on the Keating house.
The chairman of the local residents' association had tried to get the media to move out of the estate, saying that just because the Keatings live in the limelight, it doesn't mean that the privacy of other families should be ruined.
