Peaches wasn't paid, said RTE
RTE has confirmed it will not be losing out financially after stroppy teen Peaches Geldof pulled a no-show this week.
The highly strung daughter of Bob Geldof was due to make an appearance on RTE's Podge and Rodge show on Monday but cancelled at the last minute.
Peaches was supposed to fly into Dublin for an overnight visit on Sunday, March 1 to record the show to be transmitted the next evening.
The controversial teen star was said to have agreed an exorbitant sum of money to dish the dirt on her failed marriage to musician Max Drummy -- which lasted just 184 days -- with station bosses at Montrose entering an all-out bidding war to secure the coveted interview.
Podge and Rodge had spoken of their delight to have beaten a RTE's own Tubridy Tonight and the Late Late Show for the 19- year-old's first television appearance since the split.
However representatives claim that no money had exchanged hands and that Peaches had not received any advance payment.
