No sign of Linda and Twink bringing the curtain down on spat

THERE'S no sign of reconciliation between panto legends Linda Martin and Twink following their bitter fall-out.

As first revealed in the Herald, the two veteran performers are engaged in a bitter feud that erupted behind the scenes of Menopause The Musical.

And a source close to the two stars have said there's "no chance" of them moving on from the spat anytime soon.

"There were some harsh words exchanged and they had a massive blow-out. This doesn't look like being resolved any time soon," said a pal.

"It's hard to see how they could just put it all behind them and move on from that. Too much was said and neither of them have made any approaches towards the other to put it behind them."

The pair have been friends since they were teenagers, and have worked together in a spate of hit productions.

But the two have not been on good terms since an incident last March following their last-night performance in the Royal Theatre in Castlebar.

There was a bitter row backstage, which led to the latest bout of tension.

Tongues started wagging when Twink (59), whose real name is Adele King, suddenly pulled out of the smash-hit production three weeks ago after suffering a serious asthma attack.

She has now been replaced by Sue Hodge after she confirmed she wouldn't be coming back to work until at least September.

However, Eurovision winner Linda (62) was adamant that their falling-out had nothing to do with Twink not joining her on stage for the next leg of Menopause: The Musical.

And she has also confirmed for the first time that she did not contact Twink after her asthma attack which led to her spending weeks in hospital.

"No I didn't ring her then. I haven't spoken to her for several weeks," she said, adding it wasn't necessary to socialise with someone just to be able to work with them.

Twink has declined to comment directly about the spat but did allude to her treatment in the media on last weekend's Late Late Show.

In an interview with Ryan Tubridy, she said she has been under some serious strain.
