The mum of John and Edward Grimes (18) has indicated she does not want the twins to go to the Australian jungle.

Teacher Susannah Grimes has revealed how she and their dad John just want Jedward back home to Ireland to get a bit of normality back into their lives.

"We're very proud of them and just delighted for what they have achieved," she said.

"It has been a whirlwind ride, but difficult at times. While some people love them, others hated and boo-ed them. We'll just be delighted when we have them home."

A huge question mark hangs over the Lucan pair's next move, given they have been inundated with offers since exiting the show on Saturday.

As the X Factor sensations embark on a whirlwind promotional tour with TV appearances and interviews, massive speculation surrounds what they will do next.

The Herald can reveal how they were due to fly back to their Dublin home this Friday -- providing they do not sign a big money deal before then.

They have reportedly been offered some €65,000 each to enter the Australian jungle and replace Katie Price on the reality show.

The station is desperate to get them on to the programme amid a huge drop in ratings after the glamour model quit the show.

"They could be in the camp by this weekend," an insider said. "It would be a massive ratings coup if it's deemed the right move for them."

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, who was the one responsible for casting the final vote to give them the boot, has even supported the idea to put them in the jungle.

She announced on her Twitter page: "Oh, yes please. If there is a God, we want Jedward in the jungle."

A self-confessed I'm a Celebrity fan, Dannii said she hoped the Irish twins would fill the gap left by Jordan's early exit, adding: "They will spice it up now Pricey has gone."

But Louis Walsh has hinted their parents could convince them to return to finish their Leaving Cert at the Institute of Education.

"Their parents are quite strict, so they may well send them back to school after all this," he said.

Meanwhile, no one seems immune to the inexplicable effect of Jedmania.

Even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is getting in on the act. The spiky-haired star posted up a pic of himself beside the twins, sporting an eerily similar hairstyle as the pair, with the comment: "Separated at birth."

The Hollywood commentator's website gets millions of hits from star gazers around the world.
