PLUS-size model Louise O'Reilly has revealed she was struck with nerves ahead of a recent glitzy awards ceremony as she couldn't decide what to wear.
Louise certainly knows her stuff when it comes to looking good and embracing your curves and her blog Style Me Curvy was recently nominated for the prestigious Cosmopolitan fashion blog awards.
While Louise said that the event was a night she'll never forget, the model admitted to suffering from last-minute nerves coming up to the event and it was all down to her wardrobe.
"They don't do things by halves over there," the 24-year- old told The Diary. "It was in the Rose Club in London and it was amazing. The club was stunning. It was such a brilliant night. They had these delicious cocktails and a great DJ.
"I was thrilled to be nominated but I was so nervous. I'm so new to the world of blogging. I've only been doing it for 12 months. Also we weren't allowed to bring a 'plus one' so I didn't really know anyone. I felt like it was my first day at school."
In a room full of style editors and fashion heavyweights, you can't put a foot wrong and Louise admitted to spending hours fretting over what to wear to the ceremony.
"I had no idea what to wear. And you know everyone there is going to be so chic. But in the end I went with this gorgeous Julien MacDonald dress."
While she didn't get the award, finalist Louise didn't exactly go home empty-handed either. "They gave us the most amazing goodie bag -- loads of moisturiser and fake tan. It was huge -- I couldn't believe all the freebies they were giving us. When I was flying back to Dublin I was sure that the security men were going to stop me."
Louise, who once received hate emails from anti-plus-size-models groups, is going from strength to strength.
The blonde bombshell spends her time flying between London, Germany and the US for work but says Dublin will always be home.
"I'm a real home bird. I realised that when I was in New York this summer -- I got homesick a lot more than I thought I would. So I can't see myself moving over to London or someplace else at the moment."
Louise moved in with her long-term boyfriend David Lovett a few months ago. "We've been going out for two years. And we moved in together a few months ago. We're living in Castleknock. It takes a bit of time to get used to living with someone but he's my best friend and biggest supporter."
The Malahide native is signed with Morgan The Agency and Models 1 in London, who have the likes of Olivia Palermo, Twiggy and Abbey Clancy on their books. Louise is already Ireland's top plus size model but dreams of landing a Chanel campaign.
"I'd love to do one of the big name campaigns, like Chanel. I think all girls dream of that."
