Lisa bouncing back from split heartbreak as she opens salon with pal Jo
IT'S a case of out with the old and in with the new for the recently-single Lisa Murphy (40).
The diminutive blonde has dusted herself down and thrown herself into a fresh project in the wake of her split from media lawyer Gerald Kean.
The beauty salon owner will be donning the gladrags and putting her best foot forward this evening as she opens up a new venture with her Dublin Wives pal Jo Jordan.
Four years ago, Lisa set up Sandyford beauty parlour New Lisa Life with Gerald -- saying it was always her dream to have her own business.
But while it's business as usual in the southside salon, she hasn't been seen in it since her split from the celebrity lawyer.
Now she has set her sights on new pastures as she and pal Jo, whom she's living with in Castleknock, put their glamorous skills to good use.
They have licenced the Celebrity Salon name from Straywave Media, which makes the TV show of the same name, and it will open for the first time on South William Street from today.
A source explained how it's aimed at catering for ladies looking for a full beauty make-over in the run up to Christmas.
"Lisa really needs something to pour her energies into and this is the perfect thing to take her mind off things. She's a tough cookie and accepts that things didn't work out with her and Gerald and it's not the end of the world. She just wants to move on and think about her own future."
Michael Flatley's former fiancee and Jo have been inseparable since Lisa parted ways from Gerald last month.
As well as moving into her friend's pad, Jo has been giving Lisa a shoulder to cry on as she gets used to single life again.
She recently said about the former model that she's "very raw" at the moment.
"She is in a good place but she is not jumping around like Mary Poppins. There is no third party or anything like that -- sometimes the flame just goes out," she said.
Neither she nor Gerald -- to whom Lisa was engaged -- have commented publicly on their decision to separate, apart from Lisa saying that it was "very sad".
It was Christmas-time in 2009 that they first got engaged during a night out with the blonde socialite's family in members club Residence.
But they never set a formal date for the wedding, with the robbery of her expensive jewellery during a horrific incident in May 2011 said to have set their plans back massively.
The couple have been at the centre of rumours that all was not well between them over the past few months, before they finally confirmed it was all off last month.
