Kirsten you're demure... Kristen you're a mess

TALK amount a style triumph and a fashion fail -- Kirsten Dunst showed Kristen Stewart how it should be done on the red carpet last night.

Twilight star Kristen (22) missed the mark in this revealing ensemble.

Wearing a pair of pale green high-waisted silk shorts and a matching balconette bra, the star completed the look with a short mesh mini dress with orange applique.

The actress teamed her Erdem dress with ill-fitting garish orange shoes.

The fluorescent heels were obviously intended to make the outfit pop, but this was more of a fashion flop.

Her red carpet moment wasn't helped by the fact she posed alongside Kirsten Dunst (30) who brought some class to the evening. Dunst looked confident and comfortable in a demure navy coat dress.

She wore her blond hair around her shoulders and wore a slick of red lipstick. The Spiderman star finished the look off with patent heels and super-fine fishnet tights.

The two Hollywood starlets were at the New York premiere of their latest film On The Road.

The Beatles started a revolution back in the USSR

If ever a band has been well served by the literary world it's The Beatles. Practically every aspect of that revolutionary body of work has been dealt with in book form... or so one would have thought. From Hunter Davies' The Beatles, through Philip Norman's Shout, Bob Spitz's humongously detailed history and Ian McDonald's brilliant Revolution in the Head, which offered a musical and contextual analysis of every song they ever recorded, surely there's nothing left of interest to diehard fans of the Fabs. Well, think again.
