Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas is a true fitness buff - and even while on her American holiday she took on some arduous rock climbing.

Kathryn was having the time of her life in the picturesque surroundings of the Arcadia National Park (inset) in Maine with her pal Shane Rigney.

The RTE presenter jetted into New York last week where she enjoyed a few days in the Big Apple with her sister Linda.

And she also met up with Tipperary native and celebrity chef Stuart O'Keeffe who made a name for himself on Private Chefs of Beverly Hills on the Food Network.

The Voice of Ireland front-woman then took a road trip to Maine where she's had an action-packed few days.

After rock climbing in Maine, the pals then headed off on another road trip to Salem, Massachusetts where they checked in to one of the most haunted hotels in the States, The Salem Inn.

They also visited the Salem Witch Museum but the haunted town must have taken its toll as Kathryn posted a picture of the pair sharing some wine, claiming that they couldn't sleep in their creepy surroundings.

Home Despite her extensive travels, the top presenter was delighted to be back home after her whirl-wind trip as she posted a picture of her with her two dogs at the Powerscourt waterfall in Co Wicklow on Sunday.

"Back home to my babies. #Powerscourt," she wrote online.

No doubt the 35-year-old was also excited to see her restaurateur beau Padraig McLoughlin, who recently moved into her Dublin 8 home.

"We moved in together very recently so I'm very happy," she recently told the Diary.
