He sparked fury after claiming that he would "rather shoot himself" than live in Cork. And the Diary can reveal how the glamour puss, who grew up in Cork, is determined to stand by her man in the wake of his outrageous comments.
"Just to say that people and press twist things massively at the cost of people's reputations. Don't always believe what you read," she said.
She has been dating the Cobh native for five years after they met through pals and the couple now share a palatial mansion in Manchester.
Now all eyes will be on whether he'll be accompanying her over for the style awards, for which she's been nominated for a fashion accolade in the Newcomer category.
She had said she was hopeful that he would be joining her and fellow WAG Claudine Keane, who has been nominated for the main fashion award.
