APPRENTICE star Jackie Lavin has vowed that she will never turn to plastic surgery to keep her looks.

Bill Cullen's other half, who graces the cover of this month's Woman's Way magazine, claims that she is terrified of going under the knife and would never brave a surgeon's table for the sake of vanity.

"I don't like the idea of operations for starters or the idea of hospitals," she said.

"There are lots of things you can get done without that. There's so many non-invasive things. Look at Sharon Osbourne.

"I don't know what she has had done and I don't care, but she looks amazing.

"She has that polished skin and you can get all sorts of peels to achieve that."

But Jackie maintains that her own well-preserved skin does not come from hours of relaxation at her luxury Cloisters spa in Killarney.

pampering

Bill's right-hand woman claims that she never has time to spend pampering her appearance and that she maintains her svelte figure by eating healthily.

The former model and mum-of-two said: "Unfortunately, I never have any time. I wish I could be a customer in my own spa -- it's like the cobbler's child never having a pair of shoes."

She added: "It's not really about being thin -- I'm big into trying to eat right and stay healthy.

"I've been doing pilates for years, long before it was trendy, back when it was known as callanetics.

"If I was never in the limelight, I wouldn't be dowdy -- it just isn't me.

"Fashion is so affordable now, you can dress yourself very well out of Penneys or Dunnes. You just have to have an eye and adapt it to suit your style and that's what works."
